Winter 2018 – northern Tasmania

These images taken on the 16th of August 2018 after a snowfall overnight on the Great Western Tiers, with snow visible on Drys Bluff and Cathcart Bluff.  With the sun lower in the sky, colours are more intense in winter, and after solid seasonal winter rains the countryside is looking spectacular.  Winter is the beginning of lambing season, and several of the lambs photographed were less than a week old.
