Annabelle and Richard took care of us beyond what we ever expected. We absolutely adored The Racecourse Inn, we felt so comfortable and welcomed as soon as we drove in the driveway, we felt right at home. We weren’t expecting to be so spoilt, freshly baked goods awaiting for us when we arrived back from our day out, homemade biscuits,
We had stayed here 3 years ago and returned with friends for yet another wonderful couple of nights.
Racecourse Inn is a lovely, comfortable B&B in a beautifully restored Georgian building. Annabelle and Richard are superb hosts- friendly, helpful and make a delicious breakfast and baked treats for afternoon tea! There is nothing I could think of to improve the experience. This is an historic old house with bags of character and a wonderfully welcoming feel to it. The owners are truly lovely people who add to the warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was delicious! We’d have loved to stay longer. On Booking.com May 2021
We were greeted by the owner Annabelle at the Racecourse Inn Longford. Annabelle was very pleasant and showed us to our room. We chose to stay in a downstairs room, the king bedroom with a spa. The room was delightful and decorated with plenty of character as in bygone eras. Breakfast was served in what once was the ballroom. The
This has to be one of the best bed and breakfasts we have ever stayed in; from the warm welcome through to the beautiful historic home and wonderful rooms and delicious breakfasts, everything was perfect. Annabel and Richard are so efficient and warm, meeting every guest’s individual needs at a moments notice. A memorable stay for us. Shirley Rose on
We felt our stay at Racecourse Inn was home away from home. Annabelle and Richard took care of us beyond what we expected. We felt welcomed, they were warm, friendly, and we felt as if we were like living in our own family home. Negative: Everything about this stay, accommodation, facilities were beyond expectation and there is nothing negative to
The rooms were far superior to any hotel we have stayed in. The staff were delightful and went above and beyond to assist us. The breakfast was also pretty AMAZING!!!
The total experience of staying at the Racecourse Inn, The best B and B we have ever encountered. The home, the hosts the gardens and the unique history of the Inn. And best – enjoying a daily chat with Richard and Annabelle. Truly lovely and friendly hosts. Longford also has heaps of things to do and visit. Will be back.
Five stars are difficult to achieve. However I can see how Annabelle and Richard earn these ratings. The building is a Georgian gem. The rooms are perfect. The gardens relaxing. The breakfast memorable. The hosts provide a warm welcome and unparalleled hospitality. I f your passing stop. If you’re on the island make your way there!
We arrived on a warm, sunny afternoon in Spring when the garden was looking beautiful and smelled even better. There was also a plate of delicious cakes and biscuits waiting in our room. Annabelle and Richard are perfect hosts, happy to chat to you about the history of the hotel and provide you with tips on where to go in Longford and surrounds. A full cooked breakfast is served in the charming dining room.

Dear Annabelle, We wanted thank you for your warm hospitality, delicious breakfast set in such an artistic way; we could see your delight in beautiful colours, wonderful flowers, china and old silver. The ambiance of your old house is unlike anything we’ve discovered elsewhere! We were so comfortable and quite spoilt by your creative, delicious cooking and thank you again.
Amazing place to stay. Beautifully restored B&B and gardens. Anabelle & Richard are wonderful hosts. The cooked breakfast or continental, which ever you decide, will not disappoint. We had a one night stay and would have loved it to be longer. Thank you for the surprise Birthday breakfast muffin, with candle, to start off the husbands day. Oh! they also
We stayed here on the last night of our Tassie trip and I’m glad we did because it was the BEST out of all the places we stayed including major hotel chains. The current hosts are very amiable and most thoughtful towards a comfortable stay and the building itself is a dream! The dining room was amazing and breakfast was
