Cancellation Policy & Terms and Conditions
If you are unable to travel due to a government mandated lockdown, either in your normal place of domicile, point of departure or in Longford, we will not charge a cancellation fee.
Cancellation Policy for bookings made direct with The Racecourse Inn:
72 hours (3 days) notice is required before the check-in date to enable the booking to be cancelled at no charge and a refund issued. If cancelled or modified within 72 hours of arrival or in case of a no-show, 100% of the booking will be charged. Cancellation after check-in will forfeit the entire amount of the booking. We recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance.
Cancellation for bookings made through an online travel agent (OTA):
For bookings made with an online travel agent, 5 days notice is required before the check-in date to enable the booking to be cancelled at no charge and a refund issued. If cancelled or modified within 5 days of arrival or in case of a no-show, 100% of the booking be charged. Cancellation after check-in will forfeit the entire amount of the booking. We recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance.
Terms and Conditions
The Racecourse Inn provides accommodation in a private home. In accordance with The Racecourse Inn’s duty to provide and maintain a workplace and space for guests that is free of known hazards, we are adopting this policy to safeguard the health of our customers and visitors, our family members and employees and the community at large from infectious diseases, such as COVID-19, that may be reduced by vaccinations.
All eligible customers, employees and visitors are required to be fully vaccinated or have received vaccinations by 15 December, unless a reasonable accommodation is otherwise approved by any relevant authority or the company. Where a person is not in compliance with this policy, the person will not be granted entry to the premises, event or service. In such circumstances:
For customers, the company’s refund and or credit policy may apply. For employees, they will be placed on unpaid leave until their employment status is determined.
The company will not accept a booking for any eligible person that is not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or does not commit to such requirement. Where a person makes a booking and is then unable to meet the requirement, the customer shall be barred from the premises, event or service and the company’s cancellation policy shall apply.
Loss and Damage:
The Racecourse Inn shall not be liable to any guest or invitee of a guest for any loss damage or destruction to any personal property brought onto these premises. Personal property shall include any personal effects and motor vehicles parked on the premises.
Guests agree to pay all changes incurred during your stay at The Racecourse Inn.
The person booking the room or the cardholder is deemed to be responsible for their actions and those of any of their party. We regret having to inform guests that all damages will be charged in full, including labour and all other charges necessary to restore the room to the pre occupied condition. A further charge will be made to cover loss of earning until the room is restored and available for further letting to guests.
Under the terms of our insurance and fire regulations we are unable to exceed the maximum occupancy. We reserve the right to refuse admission if the customer exceeds the maximum occupancy of the room booked.
Lost property is held for a period of 1 month. It is the responsibility of the guest to contact The Racecourse Inn’s management to claim lost property. We endeavour to return all lost property to guests, and on request, lost property will be returned via a pre-paid and addressed Australia Post envelope or courier at cost.
