Longford Motorama 2021
The 2020 Longford Motorama was a great success with more than 10,000 people turning out over the three days of the inaugural event.
Despite COVID-19 restrictions and uncertainty, the committee has decided to put on Motorama in 2021, enabling people of all ages the opportunity to come along and enjoy the event, albeit in a more manageable and adaptable format.
The 2021 COVID adapted Motorama will be held on Sunday March the 7th of the long weekend.
The 2021 Motorama theme is “Back on Track”.
•Patrons will be able to walk key sections of the old circuit: Kings Bridge (Tannery Straight, Tannery Corner, Long Bridge), Mountford Corner and the Viaduct.
•Buses will circulate around Longford, enabling patrons to move around and learn about the significance of each location from a motor racing great and also receive a free signed poster.
The Village Green will again be the centre of Motorama activities in 2021.
•Including motor vehicle displays -Longford era racing cars and car club displays
•Food and coffee vans
•Central hub for bus departures, pick ups and drop offs.
•Kings Bridge marque and information area
•Some car club displays
•Shuttle bus pick up and drop off point
•The Memorial Hall proved extremely popular with patrons and in 2021 it will be no different with it again being a feature attraction of Motorama with activities like:
•Car racing simulators
