Covid-19 Safety Measures

Our COVID-19 Safety Measures include:

  •  Lark Tasmanian-made sanitiser in the front hall, dining room and your bathroom.

  • Liquid soap in every ensuite.

  • The linen in your room has been laundered by a commercial laundry to practices and operational procedures that meet or exceed the requirements under AS4146:2000 Laundry Practices.  All linen supplied to The Racecourse Inn  has achieved both chemical and thermal disinfection.

  • Please respect the 1.5m distancing rule by waiting for your turn to check-in or enter the dining room. Our dining tables have been spaced apart to allow at least 2m2 per guest.

  • We have removed hardcopy compendiums from the rooms to reduce the risk of transmission, and our compendium is now located on our website.  You will be given a link when you check-in.

  • Your room is your bubble whilst you are staying at The Racecourse Inn.  We provide clean towels and amenities in a basket if requested, but will not service your room during your stay to reduce contact between guests and staff.

  • Where possible we allow 29 hours between guests checking in and out.

  • To reduce transmission points, we have removed all brochures from the display.  Information regarding local attractions and places to eat is available in our online compendium.  If you are unable to access the online compendium, please ask for a physical copy.

  • We ask guests and staff to stay home if unwell.

  • We are undertaking extra cleaning and disinfection of all rooms between guests, according to advice from Worksafe Australia, paying particular attention to high touchpoints.   We use Viraclean (listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) for use against COVID-19) on all hard surfaces.

  • Common areas are regularly sanitised to reduce the spread of infection.  In order to do this we have delayed our check in time to 3pm.  We ask that guests check-out by 10am so that we can commence cleaning.

  • We encourage payments by card and take pre-payments to reduce queuing in the front hall.
