Cancellations

Cancellation Policy for bookings made direct with The Racecourse Inn:

72 hours (3 days) notice is required before the check-in date to enable the booking to be cancelled at no charge and a refund issued. If cancelled or modified within 72 hours of arrival or in case of a no-show, 100% of the booking will be charged.  Cancellation after check-in will forfeit the entire amount of the booking.  We take full pre-payment within 72 hours of arrival, and recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance.

For whole house bookings of two nights or more, there is a 25% non-refundable deposit.

Cancellation for bookings made through an online travel agent (OTA):

For bookings made with an online travel agent 7 days notice is required before the check-in date to enable the booking to be cancelled at no charge and a refund issued. If cancelled or modified within 7 days of arrival or in case of a no-show, 100% of the booking be charged.  Cancellation after check-in will forfeit the entire amount of the booking.  We take full pre-payment within 7 days of arrival, and recommend that guests take out comprehensive travel insurance.

Terms and Conditions

Loss and Damage: The establishment shall not be liable to any guest or invitee of a guest for any loss damage or destruction to any personal property brought onto these premises. Personal property shall include any personal effects and motor vehicles parked on the premises.

Guests agree to pay all changes incurred during your stay at The Racecourse Inn.

The person booking the room or the cardholder is deemed to be responsible for their actions and those of any of their party.  We regret having to inform guests that as of June 2018 all damages will be charged in full, including labour and all other charges necessary to restore the room to the pre occupied condition. A further charge will be made to cover loss of earning until the room is restored and available for further letting to guests.

Maxiumum Occupancy: Under our insurance and fire regulations we are unable to exceed the maximum occupancy. We reserve the right to refuse admission if the customer exceeds the maximum occupancy of the room booked.

Lost Property: Lost property is held for a period of 1 month. It is the responsibility of the guest to contact The Racecourse Inn’s management to claim lost property. We endeavour to return all lost property to guests.  On request, lost property will be returned via a pre-paid and addressed Australia Post envelope or courier at cost.
